I'm deeply passionate about digital creations. Working in the web development industry, I have been actively involved in the startup entrepreneurial community in the past. Currently, I reside and work in Mexico City, where I am dedicated to building websites and sharing my knowledge through teaching others how to create their own.
I am a web developer and teacher, currently based in Mexico City. However, my journey frequently takes me to other destinations such as Tijuana, Guadalajara, San Diego, and Hawaii.
In Mexico City, I own and remotely manage a small web development agency called IDCO.
Throughout this chronicle, you'll find the highlights of my 15+ year professional career, from my time in University to where I am now. Outside of work, I cherish traveling with my husband and immersing myself in new cultures through their diverse cuisines. I also have a great passion for movies, musical theater, and reading. Additionally, I always seize the opportunity to engage in a good match of basketball or soccer whenever possible.
During my time at ITESO University in Guadalajara, I had the opportunity to delve into various logic and programming languages for systems development. Although there was only one class focused on Web Development, it ignited my passion for creating websites, leading me to seek more knowledge in this field.
While still in university, I ventured into selling WordPress websites outside of school. I approached small stores and offered to build websites for them. This marked the beginning of my journey with both WordPress and freelancing.
After graduating, I joined a small digital business that operated similarly to a Mexican Yelp. Here, I furthered my experience with content management systems like Joomla and testing tools. The role granted me numerous opportunities to express my creativity on new projects and allowed me to collaborate with a team of passionate and innovative individuals.
After leaving Socialdot, I had the opportunity to work at Freescale Semiconductor, now known as NEXT. During my time there, I delved into the semiconductor industry, and I was part of the team responsible for managing their extensive website. This experience provided me with valuable insights into the semiconductor industry and allowed me to participate in the global launch of new products.
Throughout my working years, I actively engaged in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. It all began when I became a part of the Geek Girls community, where I shared my knowledge and skills, focusing on entrepreneurship and technology. During this period, I had the privilege of leading a group called Suma Valley, dedicated entirely to organizing startup events aimed at fostering innovation and technology-based businesses. This experience holds countless cherished memories, and I'd be delighted to share more details upon request.
At a certain point, I became a co-owner of Enlace CapacitaciĆ³n, a company offering in-person courses for the manufacturing industry in Tijuana. The demand for educational programs for both blue-collar and white-collar workers in the market was substantial. Throughout our tenure, we successfully delivered more than 100 classes to our clients, and I was responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our website and managing all internal digital tools.
During this period, I had the privilege of working with a remarkable remote team and had the opportunity to familiarize myself with the EOS system. As the web developer, I was responsible for creating and maintaining websites, landing pages, and other digital tools requested by the team. This experience allowed me to delve deeper into WordPress and gain extensive knowledge in utilizing websites and landing pages within HubSpot.
As my freelancing work continued, I established IDCO, which has always been my personal business focused on website creation. Over the years, I have been fortunate to work across a diverse range of industries, including education, hardware, software, tech, innovation, HR, auto, beauty, sports, and real estate.
This is a book club that I founded and currently lead. The main objective of this 100% remote community is to bring together like-minded peers who are interested in discussing books related to entrepreneurship, investing, and personal development.
Amid the pandemic, I was determined to maintain my motivation and stay actively involved in creating websites. This drive inspired me to start the #100sitioswebchallenge, a challenge aimed at creating 100 websites within a year. My YouTube channel has become a dedicated space for teaching, where I am constantly learning through the questions and interactions from viewers. This continuous exchange obliges me to dive deeper into various web development topics.
